In the gastronomy of the municipalities of Sierra del Rincón it is possible to find the typical roasts of the meats of the zone: partridge, deer, goat kid and roe deer. The wild boar can be complemented with the codfish in form of puff pastry gilded in oven. Vegetables are combined sometimes with meats, and thus we can find aubergines stuffed with calf or roasted duck with mushrooms. Other plates that are delicious to the palate are fillet steak with roquefort or pickled partridges.
We cannot forget the scrambled black pudding or the bull tail stew, essential for those visitors who want to prove and enjoy the mountain cooking.

 

The dried potatoes or the potatoes stuffed at oven, the butter beans and the “migas del pastor” (tasty crumbs of the shepherd), made with bread, garlic and bacon, deserve special attention.

As last, it is possible to emphasize the pudding with peach and raisins, the mousse of chocolate and the cream of yogurt and lemon, where very different tastes are intermingled but they are in a perfect and exquisite combination.
