PROHIBITIONS
METHODS AND PROHIBITED ARTS

- The capture of any species with different procedure from cane and hook, except for the crab of the salt marshes or American crab for which the use of a 10 maximum of “reteles” (nets joined to a hoop) or night lights per fisherman placed in an extension less than 100 m is authorized.

- The use of more than a cane per fisherman.

- The use of any bait different from the artificial bait in the free zone of the Jarama River.

- The use as bait of alive or died fish without damage of the established thing in article 13 of Real Decree 1997/1995, of 7 of December, by which the measures to contribute to guarantee the biodiversity by means of the conservation of the natural habitats and the wild fauna and flora are settled down, for which the express authorization of the Environment Council will be necessary.

- The use of natural bait, different from the earthworm, “canutillo” and “gusarapa”.

- The use as bait of the meat worm or “asticot” and all type of spawns, solid fats and agglutinated masses of natural or artificial origin. As well as all type of equipment of artificial fly in anyone of its varieties or assemblies that use plummets placed on the nylon or thread of the equipment.

- The fishing with decoy with more than three hooks or the artificial fly with more than three positions.

- The waters fattening, except in ciprinids fishing competition organized by the Federation of Fishing and Casting of Madrid, previously authorized by the Environment Council.

- Any procedure that implies the installation of obstacles or stone barriers, wood or another material, as well as the alteration of channels or volumes to facilitate the fishing.

- The electrocuting or paralyzing devices, artificial, artificial luminous sources, explosives, poisonous substances, paralyzing substances, tranquilizers, attractive or repellent substances. It will be possible solely to be authorized, in an extraordinary manner, the use of electrocuting devices, with low intensity for capture without damage, of specimens for research and “ictícolas” studies authorized by the Environment Council.

- In the delimited zones with the modality of capture and releasing without death, any bait different from the artificial fly, in anyone of its varieties: dry, drowned, nymph or “streamer”, “popper” or similars, mounted in simple hooks in sizes superior to 7 mm of height from base to harpoon and 8 mm of base.
