TRADITIONAL PASSING ZONES OF MIGRATORY DOVES

In the Community of Madrid, there are Traditional Passing Zones of Migratory Doves, regulated by the Annual rder of prohibitions and norms that are dictated annually. Including in the Reserve of Sonsaz, 3 passing zones (Alto de La Hiruela, Collado de las Palomas and El Salinero), with a series of fixed positions in which only the wood pigeon and thrush dove hunting is allowed, are. They are located in the waters dividing zone of the most elevated mountainous zones. The cinegetic activity is carried out from mid of October until half-full of November. The positions are fixed, and the flying guns and the transit outside the positions with the unholstered arms are forbidden. These passing zones are directly managed by the Environment Council.
