The general objectives of Sierra del Rincón Biosphere Reserve are:

1) To promote the conservation and natural environment improvement.    
2) To impel a sustainable and integrated economic development, with the maintenance of the local population and the employment generation in the zone, as well as to attract visitors for obtaining a tourist impulse in this zone.
3) To establish strategic lines with unified actions in which efforts from the different administrations and organizations are added and coordinated.
