One of the most southern beech groves of Europe, the Hayedo de Montejo, is located in El Chaparral of Montejo de la Sierra, and very interesting trees formations are conserved in Dehesa Boyal of Puebla de la Sierra.
It is necessary to add the abundance of very important vegetal and faunistic species in these zones. Both spaces are located in the roughest areas, with little human pressure and protected by mountainous formations.
