MUNICIPALITIES. PUEBLA DE LA SIERRA.

Located in a very beautiful valley, the village centre has maintained its traditional architecture, where slate, gneiss and wood dominate, combined with some modern constructions. The framework of narrow streets and small squares make of this urban nucleus a place with enchantment. In addition, whole is surrounded by agricultural areas and meadows delimited by arboreal fences.

La Puebla stream is the main axis on which the landscape is structured, with numerous lateral affluents. On its high section, the summits of El Porrejón, La Tornera, Centenera and Peña de la Cabra are. In general, the valley is emphasized by the rocks and oak wooded masses dominance.

Puebla de la Sierra, previously Puebla de la Mujer Muerta, has its origin in the similarity of its summits line with a lain woman.

Great reforested zones with pines trees exist, whereas in others the forests of centennial oaks groves still persist. Also Mediterranean scrublands, like rockrose, heather or lavender, exist.

The totality of the municipal term is included within the Hunting National Reserve of Sonsaz, and it is characterized by the great zoological variety that their habitats houses.
