All the territory is crossed by numerous water currents, streams and irrigation channels that descend from the hill slopes of the Porrejón and Peña de la Cabra and other summits like Portezuela, Peña Águila y Pico de la Dehesilla.
The name of Prádena could derive from the several meadows existing in this municipality. Nevertheless, the origin of this population, which seems to be related to the Reconquest period, is uncertain due to the existence of prehistoric and Roman remains and, even, topographic references of Arab origin.
Its vegetation is very rich, emphasizing the presence of oaks, pyrenaican oaks, junipers, holly trees, rowan mountain ashs, heathers and other species that are intermingled with abundant prairies. Among the fauna, the presence of roe deers, foxes, wild boars, real eagles and a great amount of birds is emphasized.
The territory offers a great variety of routes, easy to cross and with different difficulty, to the visitor.
