GEOLOGY. LOCATION OF MATERIALS IN SIERRA DEL RINCÓN

Slates: in the southeastern part of the region of Puebla de la Sierra, in the valleys of the Riato and of La Puebla stream.

Quartzites: they arise in summits of Sierra de La Puebla and cross that municipal region in diagonal form. This litology is also present in the regions of Montejo de la Sierra and Prádena del Rincón although with smaller importance.

Schists: in the regions of Montejo, Horcajuelo and Prádena del Rincón.

Gneisses: they arise to the surface as a result of fractures that cross from north to south the regions of Montejo and Prádena (fault of Berzosa).

Gneissic docks: to the west of the municipalities of Horcajuelo and Prádena del Rincón with north-south direction.

- Sedimentary accumulations of Rañoide type (quartzitic boulders surrounded by an argillaceous matrix coming from alluvial ranges) are developed on these materials.
