CLIMATE

From the climatic point of view, it is a transitional area between the most continental characters of Sierra de Guadarrama and the most mediterranean ones of the Eastern sector of Ayllón. The annual precipitations average approaches 700 mm, with a quite homogenous distribution along the year, except during the summer months, in which summer storms are more abundant than in the next areas and help to maintain the subhumid atmosphere almost all the year. It is frequent that snow precipitations begin in November; they are intensified during the winter and can stay until April.
